Wayne Feltt, 86

Theodore “Wayne” Feltt, 86, of Bluffton, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at Markle Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born Nov. 27, 1927, to William Harry “Ted” Feltt and Glenna Ward Keesling Feltt in Wells County.
He married Joyce “Joann” Collier April 27, 1956, in Bristol, Va.
Wayne attended Chester Center High School. He was a former member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union and the First Church of the Nazarene in Bluffton and currently affiliated with St. John’s Family Worship Center in Vera Cruz.
He retired from Franklin Electric in Bluffton in 1990 after 39 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Joann of Bluffton; a daughter, Vicki (Kenneth) Shepherd of Bluffton; four grandchildren, Travis (Linsey) Compton of Petroleum, Chad (Amber) Shepherd of Fort Wayne, Kara Garrett of Bluffton, and Heidi Shepherd of Bluffton; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert “Duke” Feltt of Montpelier and Don (Irene) Feltt of Montpelier; and a sister, Joan Lodge of Marion.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa A. Compton, in 1990.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, at St. John’s Family Worship Center with Pastor Don Rentschler and Rev. Mike Hershey. Calling hours are 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s Family Worship Center or Karing for Kids.
