Walter Aeschliman, 91

Walter H. Aeschliman, 91, Bluffton, died at 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012 at Christian Care Retirement Community.
Born on June 18, 1921 in Wells County to Samuel and Minnie (Gilliom) Aeschliman, he married Imogene R. Bucher on Jan. 18, 1944 in LaCrosse, Ind.; she died July 26, 2003.
A graduate of Bluffton High School in 1939, he was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church and was a retired businessman.
Survivors include four sons, Dr. Dale (Beth) Aeschliman of Fort Wayne, Bert (Karen) Aeschliman of Carmel, Alan (Deb) Aeschliman of Ossian, and Eric Aeschliman of Irving, Texas; four daughters, Andrea (Rich) Stoller of Keller, Texas, Jan (Dennis) Drayer of Tocsin, and Kim (David) Bertsch of Bluffton; a brother, Bill Aeschliman of Craigville; a sister, Vi (Sib) Ringger of Bluffton; and 29 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynne Beer; and two brothers, Ervin and Dale Aeschliman.
Services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Apostolic Christian Church North with Steve Ringger and Nile Bucher officiating. Calling hours are Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Goodwin Memorial Chapel and Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
American Legion Post 111 and the U.S. Army Honor Guard will conduct military rites.
Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the Good Samaritan Fund at Christian Care.
