Tabitha Dee “Bike” Cline, 96

Tabitha Dee “Bike” Cline, 96, of Bryant, passed away at 10:55 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2013, at her residence in Bryant.
She was born Thursday, Nov. 30, Thanksgiving day, 1916, in Adams County, the daughter of John and Lucy (Decker) Teeter.
Tabitha graduated from Geneva High School Class on 1934. She married Marion F. Cline on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 21, 1940, in Geneva. Marion passed away Sept. 25, 1997.
Tabitha had worked at Winner House in Berne and Jay Garment in Portland. Tabitha was a member of the Mary Penrose Wayne chapter D.A.R. She was also a member of the Jay County Historical Society and the Jay County Hospital Auxiliary. Tabitha was a homemaker and farmed with her husband most of her life. She had attended the former Sardinia Congregational Christian Church of Bryant.
Survivors include two daughters, Jackie (Paul) Sanders and Jeanie Lantz, both of Fort Wayne; agranddaughter, Norma (Mathew) Sanders-Rody of Fort Wayne; a great-grandchild, Kristofer (fiance Stephanie Hobbs) Sanders of Fort Wayne; a great-granddaughter, Amethyst (fiance Ryan Johnson) Sanders of Fort Wayne; four step-great-grandchildren, Brendan, Geran, Landon and Isabella Rody; a step-great-great-granddaughter, Kenzee Rody; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her: husband, Marion F. Cline; father, John Teeter; mother, Lucy (Decker) Teeter; sister, Violet Timmons; sister, Jackie Mere; son-in-law, Rod Lantz.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home 100 N. Washington St., Geneva from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, prior to the service.
A service to celebrate Tabitha’s life will be held at the Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22. Interment will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery in Bryant.
Preferred memorials are to the Jay County Historical Society.                              
Arrangements are being handled by Downing & Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva.
