Pearl Harter, 80

Pearl “Maxine” Harter, 80, of Montpelier, passed away at 11:05 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2013 at her residence. 
Born on Thursday, June 23, 1932, in Wells County, she married Thomas L. Harter on Wednesday, May 7, 1952 in Montpelier. 
Mrs. Harter had worked at the Indiana Box Corporation in Montpelier, the Indiana Corrugated in Warren, and the Subway in Montpelier. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School and attended the Assembly of God Church. She formerly lived in Keystone for many years.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Bradley (Jody) Harter, Keystone; four sisters, Joyce (Danny) Sills, Bluffton, Mona Maggart, Bluffton,  Amber (Terry) King, Montpelier, and Janice (Dave) Bell, Keystone; two brothers, Arnold (Cathy) Thomas, Geneva,  and Greg (Janet) Thomas, Petroleum; three grandchildren, Angela Clark, Muncie, Lori Medick, Millersburg, Ohio, and Bradley Smith, North Webster; two step-granddaughters, Cassandra Chapman, Montpelier, and Tabitha Cagle, Gas City; and two great-grandchildren, Dylan McClain, and  Shay Chapman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Harter; her mother, Josephine Huss; and a grandson,  Bostan Wine.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 19.
A service to celebrate her life will be at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 19, with the Rev. Ferrell Long officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
Arrangements are being handled by Walker & Glancy Funeral Home in Montpelier.
