Mary E. Klopfenstein, 85, of Scott, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 15, 2014, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Wells County, the daughter of Jacob and Minnie Baumgartner Tonner. On Dec. 10, 1950, she married Marvin W. Klopfenstein, who survives.
She is also survived by a son, Keith (JoAnne) Klopfenstein of Scott; a daughter, Karen (Lester) Manz of Paulding, Ohio; two sisters, Marcella (Truman) Yergler, and Doris (Dale) Fiechter, both of Bluffton; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Jaymee Klopfenstein; two sisters, Cordelia Aeschliman and Lucille Reinhard; and two brothers, Curtis and Harry Tonner.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the Latty Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Latty Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at the church’s fellowship hall and one hour prior to the services Friday, also at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Galilean Children’s Home, Liberty, Ky., or Gateway Woods Children’s Home in Leo.
