Marvin L. King, 78, of Montpelier, died at 1:11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Bridgewater Centre in Hartford City. 
Born April 24, 1935, in Montpelier to Merle and Nellie (Grover) King, he married Carolyn Longnecker on Feb. 14, 1956; she died Aug. 4, 2005. He married Halina Karpovich of Belarus on Oct. 10, 2008, in Hartford City; she survives.
Other survivors include a daughter, Connie Greene, Bluffton; three sons, Michael (Robbin) King of Pennville, Gary King of Marion, and Robert King of Montpelier; two stepdaughters, Olga Karpovich and Anna Karpovich, both of Belarus; three sisters, Madonna Curtis of Montpelier, Mary Sage of Montpelier, and Joyce Larmore of Hartford City; two brothers, Jim (Joann) King of Florida and David (Joann) King of Kentucky; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Hinshaw.
Calling hours are Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, Montpelier, and Wednesday for one hour prior to the service, which will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery in Montpelier.
