Lillian Marie Brown, 91, of rural Decatur, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012, at River Terrace Estates in Bluffton.
Marie was born July 11, 1921, in Wells County, to Charles E. Johnloz and Lilly Mae Diehl Johnloz. She married Oscar T. Brown May 17, 1941; her husband died in April of 1986.
She is survived by two sons, Rene L. (Linda) Brown and Blair A. (Deborah) Brown, both of Decatur; three grandchildren, Kent A. (Kristie) Brown, Michael R. (Angela) Brown, and Angela L. (Mark) McKean, all of Decatur; and seven great grandsons. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Marie was a member of St. Luke Church, where she was a former Sunday School teacher and was involved in the Helping Hands Women’s Group. She was also a member of the Kirkland Ladies Club for 56 years and was also a member of the Country Friends. She worked as a homemaker.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 16, 2012, at the Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, 225 W. Adams St., Decatur. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012, at St. Luke Church, with additional calling from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Pastor Mike Wertenberger will officiate. Burial will be at St. Luke Cemetery.
