Larry Nihiser, 74

The brother of a Bluffton woman, Larry D. Nihiser, 74, of Van Wert, Ohio, died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.

Born in Van Wert to Lawrence A. “Tom” and Erma M. (Fackler) Nihiser, he married Faye Ann Roth on June 27, 1964; she survives.
Also surviving are a sister, Sandra Kay (Jerry) Zeigler of Bluffton, and a brother, Jerry W. (Carol Lynne) Nihiser of Van Wert.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force Air National Guard, serving with the 122nd Squadron in France. He retired from Aeroquip Corporation in Van Wert in 1994 after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Van Wert American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Larry was an outdoorsman and mushroom hunter and was an avid supporter of the National Rifle Association.
Private family services will be held at Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert, with military graveside services conducted by the Van Wert American Legion and V.F.W. posts.
Preferred memorials are to the Convoy E.M.S.
