Gaylord L. Mounsey, 87

Gaylord L. Mounsey, 87, of Bluffton, died at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, at River Terrace Estates.
He was born Oct. 15, 1927, in Wells County to John V. and Ople (Schemerhorn) Mounsey. His first wife, Carol Jean (Anderson) Mounsey, preceded him in death in 1957. He married Crystal (Blocker) Mounsey in Berne July 26, 1958; she preceded him in death in 2013.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948, and he worked as foreman/group leader at Franklin Electric for 33 years.
He was a member of American Legion Post 111 in Bluffton and Park United Brethren Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Edgar (Carolyn) Mounsey of Ocala, Fla., and Jerry Mounsey of Keystone; two sisters, Wilma Satterfield of Lexington, Tenn., and Jeanette (Max) Haffner of Lafayette; and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, with Nile Bucher officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, at the chapel.
Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery; American Legion Post 111 and the U.S. Navy Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites.
