Eleanor Jean McConnehey, 80, of Bluffton, passed away at 3:15 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. She passed away of natural causes after a brief illness.
Jean was born July 2, 1932, to Lambert Rauner and Flossie Heckman Rauner. She married David Carlyle McConnehey May 19, 1951, in Bluffton; her husband survives.
Jean was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Bluffton. She lived most of her life in Wells County.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Dennis McConnehey of Fort Wayne and Mark (G. Rene) McConnehey of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Michelle (Harold) Hughes of Texas; and six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney and Lemler Funeral Home. Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Miller and Mr. Alex McConnehey officiating.
Preferred memorials are to the First Church of the Nazarene.
