Edwin Rodenbeck, 87

Edwin C. Rodenbeck, 87, of rural Bluffton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012, in Bluffton.
Mr. Rodenbeck was born June 25, 1925, in Adams County to Otto W. and Rachel V. Webster. He married Justine M. Meyer Oct. 20, 1946, in Vera Cruz. She died April 18, 1998.
The 1943 Lancaster High School graduate worked at the Philadelphia Navy Yard for two years and was a lifelong carpenter and farmer in Wells County. He was also a charter member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Bluffton and a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by a son, Stephen (Arvilla) Rodenbeck of Bluffton, and four grandchildren, Mycal, Myshel, Mylinda and Mykayla.
He is also preceded in death by a brother, Ralph H. Rodenbeck.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, at Calvary Lutheran Church, with Pastor Jerry O’Neal officiating. Calling hours are from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at Goodwin Memorial Chapel and one hour prior to the services at the church. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to Calvary Lutheran Church or Church of the Brethren Disaster Ministries.
