Carl L. Golden, 73, of Markle, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born May 13, 1940, in Huntington to Claude and Zelma (Hoover) Golden, he was united in marriage to Lois Fritz on Nov. 25, 1967, at the Zanesville United Methodist Church. His wife survives.
Carl was a graduate of Sarasota High School. He served in the United States Navy for 10 years. He was a life member of the VFW Post 6671 and was a member of the Zanesville United Methodist Church.
Additional survivors include a son, David (Kathy) Golden of Zanesville; a daughter, Vicky Torson of Ossian; three sisters, Donna McDonald of Chicago, Carolyn (Howard) Gilliam of Fort Wayne, and Linda Golden of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Colyn Torson, Caleb Torson, Conner Torson, Luke Golden and Mark Golden; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle.
Services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 1 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.
Interment will be at the Hoverstock Cemetery.
