WELLS COUNTY EMS
Wells County EMS Inc. is a private not-for-profit corporation, created by action of the Wells County Commissioners in July of 2000. It has four locations serving Wells and surrounding counties. Wells County EMS responds to about 3,000 calls per year.
Wells County EMS Inc. is an award-winning ambulance service.
In 2008, the agency received the Indiana Provider of the Year Award; in 2007, the Advanced Governors' Cup; and in 2006, the Heroic Rescue Award.
"Our motto is that every patient deserves the best we have to give, so our service takes great pride in keeping our ambulances clean with up-to-date equipment and scenario-based training for all employees," said Tina Dudgeon, chief executive officer of Wells County EMS Inc.
Ambulances are stationed at:
• Wells County EMS headquarters at 140 W. Spring St.
• The southern Wells facility in the new Chester Township Fire Station just south of Southern Wells school building on CR 300W.
• The northern Wells facility in the Ossian Fire Station/Ossian Town Hall building complex on Ind. 1.
• The Markle Fire Station.
