Parents needing help in providing school supplies for their children can find it in a repeat offer to help by area churches. The “We’ve Got Your Back” program, sponsored by the Bluffton First Church of Christ in 2009, is again being conducted in time for the beginning of school.
Becky Miller, coordinator of the “We’ve Got Your Back” program, says the goal in 2010 is to distribute 600 backpacks filled with school supplies to elementary age school children. This is an increase of 100 packs over 2009. “We wanted to reach more kids this year,” explained Miller. “We also thought more families might have heard about us and be interested in participating with us.”
