Knights slam South Side

Bryce Murphy, Brandon Gerber and Bill Denney each drove in two runs Thursday to lead the Norwell Knights to a 12-0 victory over the Fort Wayne South Side Archers at the Knights’ diamond.

Caleb McAfee and Noah Patten combined to toss a one-hitter, as McAfee recorded the win. McAfee started on the mound and gave up one hit, hit a batter, walked three and struck out three. Patten fanned two over two innings.

The Knights (16-10) collected nine hits. Rhett Goodmiller and Ryne Otis each had one RBI. Kody Kumfer and Klay Fiechter each had two stolen bases.
