Kody Kumfer earns Norwell ICE ‘Student of the Week’ honor

Senior Kody Kumfer has been selected as Norwell High School’s ICE Student of the Week for the week of May 5, 2008.

Kody’s place of employment in conjunction with the ICE Program is Hower Tool, Inc. in Ossian.  His duties include sand blasting and lazer etching.  His supervisor is Jeff Gresley.

Kody is the son of Kevin and Geanne Kumfer of Yoder.   Kody plans to study accounting following graduation.

This spotlight award is earned by the ICE students who display outstanding attitudes, academics, attendance, work ethic, and initiative. Recipients of this award must receive rave evaluations from their workplace supervisor who grades the ICE student on 14 various criteria.  Norwell’s ICE Program has 80 seniors this year.  Teacher Ron Harnish coordinates Norwell’s ICE Program.
