State tickets to be sold at Norwell
Norwell High School will be selling presale tickets for Friday’s Indiana High School Athletic Association Class 3A state finals baseball game against Jasper in the high school main office.
The time and dates are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
Norwell will receive some money for each presale ticket sold to help with state expenses.
WPTA will be broadcasting the game live at 7:37 p.m. on Comcast Channel 18, Mediacom 78, or my TV 33.2.
Loren’s 9, Double D 7
Loren’s Light and Heavy Duty Towing defeated Double D Home Improvement 9-7 in a Wells County Girls’ Softball Junior League game.
Sophie King was 2 for 2 for Loren’s. Jordyn Cummings scored twice.
Kayla Frayley and Peyton Smith each had hits for Double D Home Improvement. Hannah Troyer scored twice.
Markle Force 22,
Les Gerber Insurance 2
Markle Force defeated Les Gerber Insurance 22-2 in a Wells County Girls’ Softball Senior League game at Roush Park.
Markle Force had 11 hits and four walks. Les Gerber Insurance had seven hits. Hayley Snider was the losing pitcher.
First Bank of Berne 7,
Bluffton Dental 3
First Bank of Berne broke a 3-3 tie in the fifth inning to defeat Bluffton Dental 7-3 last Friday in a Bluffton Junior League baseball game at Jefferson Park.
Winning pitcher Mason Heller had two hits, including a double, to lead First Bank of Berne. Kyler Poling also had two hits, including a triple. Kyle Crist also tripled for the bankers.
Kaden Gerber had two hits, including a double, for Bluffton Dental. Jarrett Phillipe was the losing pitcher.
AdamsWells Internet 18,
PNC Bank 3
AdamsWells Internet defeated PNC Bank 18-3 Friday night in a Bluffton Farm League baseball game at Roush Park.
Jared Franklin was the winning pitcher and also hit a triple, two doubles and a single. Will Ball added five singles. Kaden Wafford added a double and single. Andrew Ball had three singles. Elijah Cook doubled and singled. Koby Humbarger doubled and singled. Grant Bultemeier had three singles.
Grant Thompson was the losing pitcher. Cooper King, Dominic McPherson and Nate Morrow each doubled for PNC Bank.
F.O.F. 14, Dog Gone Groomers 2
The Bluffton Fraternal Order of Firefighters defeated Dog Gone Groomers 14-2 Friday in a Wells County Girls Softball Junior League game at Roush Park.
JoAnn Jones tripled and singled for Bluffton F.O.F. Faylynn Stein, Stephanie Bradley and Avery Mann each hit two singles. Olivia King singled twice for the Groomers.
T-Ball scores reported
Scores from Bluffton T-Ball League action are as follows: Saf-T-Lite 26, Hot Cakes 23; Bluffton Rotary 25, Schwartz Contractors 25.
