Small oil fire ignites

August 24, 2013

Bluffton firefighters meet outside Alexin LLC, 1390 S. Adams St, after an oil spray from a cylinder underneath a furnace caught fire at 7:11 p.m. Friday. Firefighters used dry-chemical extinguishers to stop the fire and then stood by while maintenance crews checked the equipment. Firefighters also left an extinguisher when they left at 8:35 p.m. because Alexin employees had depleted theirs. (Photo by Chet Baumgartner)
