Mentorship program OK’d at Lancaster

After delaying a decision for more than a month, Northern Wells school board members Tuesday unanimously invited Hope Missionary Church and Kids Hope USA to start a mentorship program at Lancaster Central Elementary School.
Through the program, which would not cost the district any money, mentors from the church would work with at-risk students during the school day. School officials would select the students.
