BPD officer gets 15-day suspension

A veteran Bluffton police officer has been suspended without pay for 15 days and a seven-year employee of the Bluffton/Wells County Animal Shelter has been fired.
The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety approved both measures Tuesday afternoon. They were brought to the board by Police Chief Tammy Schaffer.
Fiscus, who has been a police officer since Dec. 1, 1989, will begin serving his suspension on Saturday, Aug. 24. The suspension will conclude Wednesday, Sept. 11.
